When BBS is implemented in the workplace, it leads to an increase in safe behaviours and a fall in overall safety incidents. It is implemented by the Department of Energy (DOE).
BBS applies across a broad range of safety areas.

It can be promoted on the production floor or in the office and is applicable off the job as well. BBS enhances some long used safety tools (management tours, housekeeping audits and safety meetings), thereby lowering the overall safety management cost.

BBS adds value to safety meetings and management tours that commonly focus on conditions. Companies that properly apply BBS see the return on Investment (ROI) of spending.
